It was a very entertaining game. Demontre Moore is pretty amazing. Too bad there are no duplicates of him on your defense. I will be surprised if he doesn't get drafted in the first round. Manziel is a hell of a talent but the staff needs to keep him under control. It seems like he tries too hard to carry the offense on his shoulders. In many situations, he could've checked down to Malena or another option instead of forcing the ball or coming close to getting himself killed during a scramble.

LSU did a good job scheming for Manziel. We need to be more team oriented by running the tail backs more when we see this.

Seemed like Malena went away right after he fumbled.

I hope Moore doesn't leave early

It sucks to lose your top players to the draft early but it does wonders for recruiting. LSU sends underclassmen to the draft all of the time. This last draft, 3 guys left early. Recruits notice this and see it as an opportunity to play early and to get to the NFL as soon as possible.

That may be the case, but it might be better to do that when we have more depth.

He has only played 7 college games in his life. People forget how new he is to football at this level. He will be very exciting to watch over the coming years.

I agree with you that he needs to reign it in a bit. I honestly don't have a problem with him trying to make any plays with his feet. That's his game and he needs to keep being aggressive. Concerning passing, I'd like for him prior to each play to take a second to understand the situation. If it's between the 40's on 2nd or 3rd and long and he wants to be aggressive and try to fit balls in, fine. If it's 1st down, 2nd and less than 7, or deeper in either end of the field he needs to be aware of the situation. Needs to understand it's okay to throw the ball away when no one's open instead of forcing it.

All the more reason for him to give back some of the load to the veterans. Christine Michael is probably good as new right now. Maybe Kingsbury can create some plays to get him back into the offense and get some mileage out of him.
