Their RT is now out for the rest of the season.

Wow, I knew they were having injury problems, but I didn't know how bad it was.

Seven Missouri offensive linemen have suffered some sort of injury since preseason camp that has forced them to miss time this season. Come Saturday, freshman left guard Evan Boehm will be the only offensive lineman to start every game for the Tigers this season. All five preseason starters have gone down with injuries for Mizzou.

And that's on top of the fact that they graduated 3-4 OL starters from the 2011 team. Throw in the injuries to Franklin and it's no wonder their offense has struggled so much.

That's why depth and recruiting is so important in the SEC. It's not necessarily the first string that defines SEC D-lines and O-lines. It's the guys who can come in from behind them and keep things rolling with little drop-off. The LSU o-line currently consists of an OG starting at LT and freshmen starting at RG and RT. The only player on the o-line who has considerable playing experience at his natural position is the OC.

Japan,

It appears the Tigers have had good luck with D players. I am not sure of any missing major time this season. Is that correct?

The d-line has fared the best out of all defensive position groups. They only lost a 3rd string DE for the rest of the season. The LB corp has fared OK except at Sam LB. The guy who was supposed to start at Sam was academically suspended at the start of the season. The guy who started in his place suffered a stomach ailment that caused him to lose a lot weight so he got replaced by a true freshman. The true freshman was wreaking some havoc over the course of a few games until he broke his ankle so he was replaced by another true freshman who started since the TAMU game. The secondary hasn't fared very well. The dismissal of Tyrann Mathieu has led to freshmen manning 2 of the top 3 CB positions. When they go dime, a safety has to man up on a WR because there are not enough corners. There have been problems in coverage throughout the season.

No team survives 7 OL going down. Just brutal luck.
