Does anybody think Bo Jackson sounds like Paul Mooney from the Chappelle show?

I know when Bo at A&M's 6 yard line they gave it to him 4 times in a row. I think it ended as 5th down and 4 yards to go. He was the Heisman winner at the time.

Bo was the greatest athlete of the 20th Century, in my opinion. I got to see him play at the Cotton Bowl and, later, as a major league baseball player, I saw him hit a 460 foot home run off Nolan Ryan. Unbelievable freak of nature, but sounds like a nice guy living the good life. The end was a nice contrast from the 30 for 30 about all the broke ex jocks.

While I enjoyed seeing the Aggies beat Bo, I've always been impressed with him both on the field and in interviews. Dont know if I'd call him the best athelete of the 20th century (I reserve that for Thorpe) but I'd definately place him in the top 10.

Heard Nolan speak a week ago. He mentioned Bo several times. Bo pulled him out of the pile when Nolan beat up Ventura.... Nolan thinks he saved his life. He had about 1500 lbs laying on him.

Also told a story about the big HR off of him. He came to practice the next day and no one was there. He went out on the field and no one was there. Then he heard a whistle and looked up and the whole team was sitting where Bo's shot landed.....

I think Bo was better than Thorpe. There were a lot more dual sport athletes back then. It's a lot harder to do that now in the modern era when everybody specializes in a single sport. Bo not only had to compete with the specialists, he was able to thrive. He's the only all-star in both sports, I believe.

Agree with all of this. Bo was a freak. I think Dye was hilarious talking about Bo being the type of player that you didn't want to use up in practice.

The story of the contrast between Alabama and Auburn recruiting was also very telling about the attitude that Bear had about getting the players he wanted at the end of his coaching career.

Have not seen the 30 for 30 yet.....

Bo ran a 4.1somthing at the nfl combine..... the man was 230 pounds!!!!

That kind of speed and size would have made him good at any physical sport... football, baseball, basketball, soccer, track & field, .... probably translates to Hockey....
Hence the commercials.

That 30 for 30 was amazing. I was collecting baseball cards when Bo was at his prime. I just remember the "school-yard" conversations about how awesome he was, that show seemed to indicate we were underestimating the man.

Yeah I was a kid when he was around. Knew he was awesome but I had no idea until I saw that show how good he was. He was amazing. Soo sad his career ended due to Dr. negligence. I wonder if that changed medical procedures on pro teams

I agree, Bo was the greatest athlete of our time. I just wish we had more time to watch his greatness, as he is now slipping out of our memories.
