I was wearing my dri fit A&M Addidas polo today and I had a Florida Gator fan and an Ole Miss fan each stop me and tell me how good they thought we were going to do next year and how they thought we would win a MNC within 3 years. This kind of stuff never happened in the Big 12. I love the SEC!

SEC fans are the best

If someone from Big 12 had stopped me to tell me how good they thought we were going to do the following year and how they thought we would win a MNC within 3 years, I would have asked what mental hospital they escaped from.

So glad we have another football heavyweight in the SEC, and so happy they're in the same division as my Crimson Tide. A&M has always belonged with Bama, LSU, Arky, and the rest. The games we'll have over the next several decades will be incredible...and the rivalry between A&M and LSU will be as intense as any inthe sport, mark my words. Glad you guys like your new address, because we love having you here.

My wife and I were on a cruise with Traveling Aggies last Sept. and there were other alumni groups on board. I didn't run into a single fan from an SEC school who was not extremely positive regarding our move to the SEC. Not the same feedback we got from a lone 'sip couple on the ship. The kept telling anyone who would listen that we had made the worst mistake possible for our school's academic and athletic progress.

Gun safety is no accident

Similar story to tell on my trek to Florida last week. I'm wearing my SEC/ADIDAS hat in Publix and a Bammer lady walks up to me and says, "We were really glad to have y'all join, right up until y'all beat us at home. That ain't supposed to happen that quick." She had a big smile on when she said it.

Not the same could be said when I flew Southwest to Cali with a sip and a Zero U fan. They were studiously avoiding eye contact.

After the Bama game, I had a bunch of their fans congratulate us and our school. In Austin or Waacko all I ever got was a F u ***gie.

That is why it is so much fun to watch them now that we are doing well and proving what we all knew could happen.

Wore an Aggie cap at The Masters and met really nice fans from Bama, Georgia, Tenn, and Florida. All of them were happy about us joining them in the SEC and had lots of nice things to say about Johnny Football, too.

Went to Perdido Key, FL, for vacation last July and got great comments/discussions from the SEC peeps there...even the LSU fans. Lots of "glad to have y'all" and "A&M is a great fit in every way."

Can't WAIT to go back this summer and talk to 'em again....
