OU pundints were certain Skip was coming to TAMU today..
Vol boards were certain Vitello was leaning towards A&M…

Read the pieces Looch and Brauny print for us, as they know and receive more information than any "inside" intel any of us may receive.

Be patient, no need to promote false narratives or mislead current players, portal commits, current portal players etc…

Great things to come for TAMU baseball, not a doubt in my mind.
Let us all exercise some patience, myself included, and trust our new AD to make the right hire.

I would be shocked though if Earley is not a coach in some capacity on the staff no matter who we hire for head coach.

Everybody wants Earley! He checks all the boxes.
- Don't have to "money-whip" - good for Trev the AD
- Keeps the most current players as possible
- Hurts Schloss
- Gives A&M a young, hungry, coach with something to prove

I don't trust anyone who has a SEC/ACC HC job that is in their 50's. Promote from within! Give people the opportunity to turn into the GOAT

It could be a situation where we are bringing earley back no matter what, but we are finding the right HC that will agree to that.

This is exactly where I'm at. Make the best pitch/$offer we can to Vitello. If we somehow miraculously get Vitello, then hire Earley as associate HC. If it's still a no for Vitello, get Earley as HC and let's ****ing roll.

Boomer confirmed he is not a players coach….
He knows the game but not how to treat people/players.

Last year my son had the opportunity to meet Schloss and receive his autograph..my son was barely 5, and was decked out in A&M baseball gear, obsessed with baseball and the Ags! (This was after a baseball game we won, in the tunnel where my best friend introduced us to him)
Politely, my son asked his autograph with no one else around, Schloss grabbed his ball, never addressed, looked at or spoke to him, signed his ball, handed it back and never acknowledged him. We said thanks Coach and Gig'em, to which he returned nothing.

This never sat well with me. I am an advocate of treating our younger generation with appreciation and excitement for the sport. Schloss has some soul searching to do, clearly.
I'm hopeful he eventually realizes the opportunities he's lost along the way, particularly at A&M (come on a Sunday to see the amount of kids lined up just to breath the same air as the Aggie baseball players and staff) to impact the game positively from a moral and respect standpoint.

Talked to a ton of Vol fans in Omaha that were scared sh*****s that CDC was chasing Vitello and not Schloss. Vitello might be a punkish dude and not the guy most people here want, but I would be disappointed if Trev doesn't/hasn't at least talked to him. You don't know until you ask.

Fortunately this did not break his spirit whatsoever. Kid is about as obsessed as one would hope for their future Aggie.
I coach him to always treat others with gratitude, kindness and empathy. These last two years he'd always say "Gig'em Aggies, except Coach JS" when watching our boys play.

So he remembers and now knows why this person wasn't kind or appreciative of him, because he's been a Sip all along!
