I don't follow baseball recruiting much... Have we had any decommitments? I've seen a couple decommit from tu but have not heard anything about our incoming class (imagine too late for them) or any of the portal guys that were heading our way prior to POS bolting.

Jack Paris decommitted from us and committed to the sips.

Pitchers Dudley from Blinn and Arvidson from San Jac both decommitted from the sips. Both really good pitchers at the JUCO level.

Some of these sip decommits are likely to be "offer was pulled" situations. Schloss and the gang are working their way through who they want and don't want on the current roster and incoming commits. But if the kid was good enough to have been committed to sip/Pierce, he will find a landing spot somewhere.

Paris decommited but his dad played for tu and is a big donor there…. But apparently he had a terrible season this last Spring so maybe it doesn't even matter….

The Paris and Cozart flips add credence to the suspicion that Cain and Schloss were recruiting kids to Texas while employed by A&M. That is awful quick on the trigger.

Paris has a 89 mph fastball, for those wondering. Up from 86 mph when he committed to us a few years ago.

Cozart would've been nice to keep with his fastball, but when he committed to us months ago, I was like Sweet he's top-ranked. Then I looked him up and basically he was top ranked as a freshman or soph when he was bigger than everyone, and then has taken a nosedive in the rankings ever since.

Hard to argue that Schloss isn't a dumbass. The kids still have time to change their minds. Schloss has no home to come back to in College Station.
