Let me start by saying, I have no sources… and yes Trouble, I know it's only been 4 days. I think Trev is meeting with the guys today(the players). Apparently that has already been speculated. And he is going to inform them that he has decided on Earley. He calls Earley, and says come on home my man! Earley gets back late this evening to a welcome home party… all the guys pull there name out of the portal! All of this on the Eve of Texas big SEC party tomorrow! It will feel deflated, and Schloss will crumble under pressure and the longhorns will realize, the mess they have made.

I would love that scenario.

I think today is quiet because the real work is being done.

Hell, I'd even be on board with right before their big party starts.

Or we announce tomorrow to steal the spotlight during their big "welcome" party and indicate that we had no intention to distract from them and that is just how the timing worked out

It's a small world though. Someone would talk and it'd be difficult to pull off for more than a few hours. In this case I would think it would have to be today.

My guess is this afternoon at some point.

It would be awesome but with such a tight window on the portal now, time is of the essence. "Gotta hit the ground running" is an understatement

Our portal worries are keeping our guys out of it, not worried about recruiting the portal at this point.

I never post so what do I know but my hope is they have a press conference Sun 6/30 and then Mon 7/1, the same day tu "officially" joins the SEC, we "coincidentally" issue a breaking news press release giving all the details about Schloss and his illegal recruiting for tu while he was on the payroll at ATM….

Both Luicci and KR has mentioned a person interviewed whom they can't name.

I wouldn't discount the possibility it being someone not named Early.

I wouldn't discount the possibility it being someone not named Early who has Early on his staff as an associate head coach.

If Early I would think there would have to be some level of vetting to ensure he did not violate anything major in all the scams that were rumored regarding recruiting, use of state property, whatever was alleged about Schloss pics to DD's. Well at least I hope they would so we know if we are giving up any leverage or taking risk w/Early.


And if he got the clean bill of health that we thought then I would imagine contract language would be negotiated that if anything came up from that we can terminate for cause...

Just how we do it in business world with senior execs.

And then we can have Homelander from The Boys laser eye Schloss, and blow him up at the party.

Assuming Earley was merely a hostage in this whole thing, it's a wonderful story for him to come back, as Trouble (and others) have said as an AHC. Seems to me that it's a really large risk for him to get the A&M HC position with zero experience in the age of NIL & portal in the country's hardest conference. Whether Earley or someone else, hoping for the best!!
