This site needs to chill about the portal. All the 7/2 deadline represents is kids being able to enter the portal. To be quite honest it has no bearing on us what so ever

If we hire a new coach it isn't like our guys have to remove themselves before that date or they're gone forever.

And to be completely honest it's not like we can slow play a hire to save guys because the changing of coaches extends things anyways.

The only impact the portal has on our hire at the moment is if it's Vaughn and his guys get an extended window to enter the portal.

I'm not stressing, you're stressing.

Every single thread has people commenting about how this needs to get one because of the portal. So instead of commenting on every numbskull I figured I'd follow everyone's else lead and start a new thread with a comment.

Isn't that how we TexAgs now? New threads for blanket statements instead of mentioning individually?

The only thing we'd miss out on is a player that likes our new HC, but it's too late to enter the portal.

I was stressed Tuesday and Wednesday. It's all out of my system, and I'm on day three of relaxed.

if a kid has any inkling that he could be interested in any Aggie targets he can already enter and if we choose someone else go back to the team he came from.

So I get what you mean but I don't see Earley having that draw. And if he did that kid might already be in the portal and was considering the sips

I'm so chill I didn't know the actual portal closing date. My main priority was surviving the brutal heat on the course today, and deciding if the new Frozen Transfusions served at the turn would go well with a hot dog.

If a kid is jonesing to play for our new head coach, whoever that happens to be he's likely either (a) already in the portal so he can go play for that coach, or (b) currently playing for that coach. ...in which case that coach leaving his current program opens up a 30 day portal window for said student athlete to enter the portal in order to follow his coach to A&M.
