Depending on which path the admin takes. Reporters might be told beforehand what is allowed and why.

I have a feeling Earley is one of those guys who will let his actions speak louder than words, and it's going to be glorious. He's not going to **** on Jim publicly, nor should he if we're being honest, not a tone we need from an HC.

If we truly do hold onto 100% of the Ags in the transfer portal, that says everything everyone is thinking about Jim without actually saying it.

I hate that we didn't bring home the hardware this year, but in 20 years when I look back at Earleys career, I think I will be very proud that he will be the one to win our first.

If Texags has screenshots like they reported, why wouldn't they release them? Our school doesn't have to do anything legally with it, but you can prove without a doubt what snakes the sip athletic department is in the public eye.

Especially if you release them today when they have the spotlight on them.

Let it go, we now have a great young head coach, good chance we come away with the sips top flight recruiting coordinator/hitting coach. I think we come away smelling like roses. When Coach E gets asked about the situation he responds some like " I'm here to talk about Texas A&M baseball and all this great program stands for and is about, I am of course thankful for the chances I have been given". We take the high road, and do it with class....that is not impotent at all, we will let our play on the field do all the talking we need.

Counterpoint, an extra 10million from lawsuits and damaging Schloss's ability to recruit at our main rival for the next 3 years is a nice cherry on top to the news today.

If I'm secretly selling jobs for a future employer using my current employer's privileged information against them, you better believe I would get sued for that.

Coaches are not attorneys nor PR experts. If there is any fuel to burn, let a team of experts light it. He's here to coach, draw in recruits, and win.

It would not be a professional move for a HC to air dirty laundry at his opening presser. Onward and upward.

I think Trev needs to handle all of the Schloss talk outside of Coach Earley's press intro. Dewshenagle has strolen enough of our spotlight last week and doesn't deserve an ounce more. Move on.

Because the "screenshots" were NEVER purported to be anything legal, and they don't want to burn their sources.

The "screenshots" were simply "yeah, some people knew about this earlier than we thought."

Leaking that, and burning your sources provides no real value.

Because other than a handful of forum posters, no one cares.

Then why would they bring it up in the first place if they weren't going to release them at some point? That doesn't make sense to me. You still let someone know there is a leak, and because you won't provide evidence of what you claimed, then the other side can spin it as you just lying to be petty.


Edit: just to make sure I'm being clear, I'm not saying the admin has to release anything or make a statement or pursue a lawsuit (although it would be nice). I'm asking why Texags doesn't do it independently so that the public knows without a doubt how big of snakes the sips are.

My suspicion.... And other that WAY too many nights in a Holiday Inn, I've not no sources so take it FWIW

The screenshots are from tu NIL folks that knew Schloss was going to jump ship as soon as the season was over. So they were reaching out to guys that Schloss had been recruiting. The most you might get Schloss on is a message, "XYZ might be reaching out." You might have some breach of contract between Schloss and TAMU and you might have some Tortious Interference between the tu NIL collective and TAMU.

Another possibility is that slimy stuff is happening all over the place and we don't want to go throwing too many rocks. You remove all of the safety then fire that torpedo, it might turn around.

I'm sure of one thing though, we wouldn't have hired Earley if we thought he was working against our best interest up until the very end.

POS spent 75% of his introductory presser talking about A&M and defending his actions. We are waaaaay better off if Earley and the press do not make one mention of POS or tu and dignify them with a response.

Make the focus about the coach, the staff, the future, and allow him to talk about everything the players accomplished.

Allow some reporter to have a 1x1 with Earley or the AD at another time to ask all those questions.

Earley has a job to do. Let AD handle any other "business" and keep under wraps from upper echelon administration.
