Not trying to be negative, but the two sport guys always say that and then they end up playing one sport here. It's just how it usually works. I don't remember the last athlete we had who played two of football, basketball, and baseball here.

Seems like it'd be easier for a defensive guy vs a QB or OL

I don't know if we ever got officially what happened with Bryce Foster but I don't think Elko likes 2 sport athletes. With the kids size he will end up sticking to football. DE/LB 6'5" 245 and has one more year to gain some weight

But seeing as he already has a relationship with Early who knows.

It was a shame that Chambless couldn't stay healthy. Seems like he got injured every year, but was a talented bullpen arm.
As for someone who mentioned Weigman, a quarterback missing spring practice is a little different than a d-lineman missing.

Bob Long '69.
A football letterman in 1966, 1967 and 1968 and baseball letterman in 1967, 1968 and 1969, Long was a member of 1967 SWC Championship football team. Voted the baseball team captain and most valuable player in 1969, Long was named All-America in same year.
