Just saw where Bryce Navarre flipped to the bad guys. Is there a list somewhere of our current High School commits? How are we doing overall in keeping them in the fold?

Navarre is the only 2024 that i have seen flip. There have been 3 or 4 2025 reported. All pitchers, also. Minimus Weiner is the one doing the cooking so far.

Yep. 3rd best SS in our 2024 class.

That said, he's very good. And might be the only one not in MLB next year. We'll know in about a week.

...related question... this is a signee, right? Do we have to let him out of his NLI? I assume we do. And I assume we will (and we should). But I don't know that we have to. Or do we?

Well, I assume we would. But I'm just trying to understand the mechanics. Let's say an oSu Beav signee switches to NikeU who just left the Beavers without a conference to wander the desert alone... could they just say F you, we refuse to release? And if so what are the consequences for each party? Actual consequences, not the PR hit/future recruiting hits they might take.

...and if Sanford makes it to campus I'll wet myself. At my advanced age that's likely anyway, but I'll be happier about it.

I'm pretty sure coaching turnover is one of the reasons you can get out of an NLI.

With the draft and all the trap-dooring / transfer in college baseball, an NLI doesn't mean much.
