He comes into town and then immediately flies up to Cape Cod to lock down Isaac Morton, then convinces Grant Cunningham to join the Ags, and finally plays an important role in Ryan Prager's decision to come back. Pretty good start for the new guy.

Explain... Magical seasons include winning at a high level otherwise how or why are they magical? If going 58-7 and losing to LSU and not making it to Omaha is magical to you then our definitions are very different.

If you don't think the 89 team was magical regardless of final ending then I don't know what to tell you

The goal is to win it all. That was a great year, never to be forgotten but it pales in comparison to this past year for example. "Magical" to me is at least making it to Omaha and battling for a championship. The '89 team was great, but they fell short.

1989 transformed the program. It was a disappointing end, but it raised our expectations and altered our trajectory. We still haven't quite gotten to where we want to be, but the march down that path really started in '89.

Skenes was on the LSU team in 2023. Kelly was the PC in 2022. So it was not Skenes.

Jason was such a great hire. For our new head coach - Jason can serve as a mentor to Early - having run a major conference program previously. Also, fills the need in coaching pitchers. Recognized previously as a strong asst coach (asst coach of the year). Recruits well. Perfect fit.

2024 was the best season in aggie baseball history from start to finish

1989 is still the best regular season (52-5)
