Does anyone have access to the recent 24/7 article that teases that they have correspondence between Trev and Welsh in the month leading up to JS leaving?

I doubt there is anything new, but it would be good to see how they were working behind the scenes given the unique nature of the situation. Pretty interesting leadership scenario to dissect. You are getting cheated on, but can't respond for the good of the kids in the short term, but you know you are going to have to deal with it at a known point in the future and that it is going to be nuclear (or apocalyptic as JS said).

I thought their leadership through the transition was superb.

Not sure why everyone wants all of this information public. I think it is best to let this go and not try and dissect every comment or action

I'm cool with it if it makes Texas look even worse than they do now.

I'm sure it's just the screenshots of the text messages that were floating around a week or two ago.

Seems about right for 247 to write a story about fake texts.

I mean, there's not anything new there. Pretty much the only thing we learned was that Trev was so sure, he had Alan Cannon working on a statement before game 3.

We know Trev and Schloss openly talked about it, bc they've both said so.

There's nothing coming out of this that makes us look good and TX look bad. If anything, we look like idiots for letting him finish out the season, based on what we knew.

You were doing so good… right up to the point where you suggested we should have fired the head coach somewhere during the lead up to the national championship appearance. Not sure anything in the history of sports would have looked dumber than that. Nobody anywhere in the history of everything would have fired him in this situation.

Agreed. But what we could have done was not let him get on the team plane home from Omaha. That way, CDC would have had to hide in a cemetery in Gretna or LaPlatte instead of Snook.

Oh I don't think we should have fired him. I'm just saying we don't want to go down the road of reading messages, and trying to throw a hissy fit legally (which plenty of people want us to do), because if it's as bad as people hope it to be, that's going to be the answer.

Ok, we're on the same page here. The only diet I was ever interested in was the alleged proof that he and the two assistants that followed were recruiting for tu on our dime. Beyond that the story needs to die.

a flight from Omaha would have been than the almost 3 million buyout. Schloss and CDC would have been thanking us.

How about a press release after the game saying: "we have strong reason to believe that Coach Schlossnaglr has been in negotiations with the University of Texas with the intent of becoming their new head coach. Our goal is to maintain as much focus as possible on our student athletes as we are able in this type of highly unusual situation. To that end, we are terminating Coach as of this evening. Please join us in welcoming and celebrating the rest of the team when their plane lands at Easterwood."

And save Schloss and sips 2.8 mil buyout.

Texas stole a coach the day after playing for a national championship. How do they "look bad"? If you take off the maroon glasses they look pretty good.

They'd look better if we won. And he'd have that satisfaction but now doesn't.

What you just said is basically the free-section of the 247 article. It goes to paywall after that in the story. Lol
