I'd put us at 5 behind Alex Box, Dudy Noble, Founders, Swayze

If we're combining stadium and atmosphere as one package, I'd have Blue Bell at 4 ahead of Founders. Disch should be like 13.

Other than Dish-Rag, it looks pretty accurate.

The Disch is a dump. The highest it should be is 14.

Kentucky has a much nicer park than tu. I would move us to 6 or 7 and put disch-falk nearer to the bottom the list.

Kentucky's ball park looks very sterile. I feel the same way about Florida and USCe to a certain extent. O'brate is the only new college ballpark that I don't feel that way about.

I don't know… when you are sitting in the metal bleachers at UFCU Pepsi Roger Clemons Tito's Vodka ACL Stadium in late May and the heat radiating from the fake grass hits your face just right… so much so that you feel like your skin is melting off.

Tough to beat.

Apparently they can't figure out how to improve either their baseball or softball stadiums. You might not remember the trash fans threw behindthe fence halting play during softball post-season play, but that happened!!!!

I mean I really disagree with the Disch that high, but outside of that, it's hard to argue with the other venues ahead of us.

How many here have actually traveled to some of these places? I've been to 9, and while we are all nostalgic for our own place, from a venue standpoint Blue Bell is well below the top half of that list.

That's not pessimism, that's reality.

What t-sip troll wrote this article?

Dudy Noble and Baum Walker are definitely in class of their own and what A&M should have if we would stop pissing money down the drain on football facilities which don't bring in players.

Alex Box is not too far behind

Blue Bell seems in line with Swayze, Fouders Park, Lindsey Nelson, and Sewell Thomas. Possibly throw Plainsman in this grouping as it is unique.

Condron, Foley and Proud park all seem rather small and nothing special.

Dish fits here or with Condron and Foley just because it is bigger but that crap hole needs an overhaul. The factor in all the nearby homeless living under 35.

Vandy is what happens when you don't think your baseball program will be any good. Add in the Whistler and this goes to the bottom.

My list.
Tier I
1. Dudy Noble
2. Baum Walker

Tier II
3. Alex Box

Tier III
4. Founders Park
5. Swayze Field
6. Blue Bell
7. Sewell Thomas
8. Lindsey Nelson
9. Plainsman Park - Unique

Tier IV - Smaller fields
10. Dish Faulk Field - Just big. Nothing nice
11. Condron Park
12. Foley Field
13. Kentucky Proud

Tier V
14. L Dale Mitchell Park
15. Hawkins Park
16. Taylor Stadium

I would say these are the bottom 2 by a good bit.

Vandy has no business being tier with them.

Been to all of them except for L Dale Mitchell Park, Taylor stadium, and Condron (went to the old Florida ballpark.

To me, Dudy Noble by quite a bit.

Baum Walker and Alex Box have terrible sight lines. And the Box has a ton of very uncomfortable and ugly aluminum bleachers. No way Sewell Thomas (which has a very high wall behind home plate and no seats close to the field and to me looks like it was done on the cheap) or Lindsey Nelson (as of last time we played there. I believe they have done some renovations)

Big fan of Founders Park. I would put it second behind Dudy Noble. Very pretty and not a bad seat in the house.

I would rank them

1. Dudy Noble
2. Founders Field
3. Baum Walker
4. Alex Box

Tier 2
Swayze
Blue bell
Plainsman
Foley ( I actually think it is under rated and is a beautiful setting)

Tier 3
Sewell Thomas
Kentucky Proud

Tier 4
Hawkins field
Disch Falk (sure I hate them and am biased. But when we played them in a hot regional if you were low it literally smelt like burning tires)

Not ranking any I have not personally been to. And I sure my opinions differ from others. Going to away games and sitting with the Ags really emphasizes sight lines because of where our seats usually are,

Alex Box by far the worst all the way down the rf line. Basically can not see the plate and are right under all the drunks in the left field bleachers.

Lol. Our stadium is nice how? I guess when I paid for my food they had these cool scanners as a robotic cashier. Other than that, it ain't big or nice.

One funny thing is how bad Sips softball stadium is. It was just not good when A&M played there in the regional 2 years ago. Maybe they have a solid player-development facility and it's not just buying recruits or the coach.

I'll concede we have poor concessions but how many other college ballparks have you been to? While middle of the pack in the SEC, Olsen Field is easily a Top 10% college baseball venue.

In part Mississippi St. opted for a double deck ballpark when they had a major upgrade of Dudy Noble largely due to Olsen. When Florida got a whole new ballpark because football wanted the land of their old one for a practice facility, it was largely designed to resemble the features of Olsen.

What is our criteria here?

Fans at Olsen can literally change the outcome of a game. I saw it in person during the Oregon Super last year. If we are going off vibes, concessions, and cool grills in the outfield… then yes we are middle of the pack. If we are going off fans, traditions, the ability to get in a pitchers head… then we may be #1 or close to it.

From an ascetics perspective baseball should be played on grass. In my mind artificial turf should limit you to the bottom half of the SEC stadium rankings. Worst offenders that come to mind: Uk, Mizzu and sips.

Pretty sure they'd drop baseball if they could. They put zero money into the program. It's definitely a hs stadium amongst minor league parks and I doubt it's changing anytime soon, if ever with all the changes going on in college sports. They aren't going to waste already limited money on non fb/basketball, especially with how far behind they are.
jkag89

The don't necessarily need to anything super special. An average park with OK facilities and a chance to play in the SEC should draw solid recruits but they don't even want to do that. Sorta sad because they had usually had solid to very good teams (sometimes bordering on excellent) for most of our time in the Big XII.
