Spring training fields are spread out all across the Phoenix metro area. Several on the east side in or near Meas and the others over on the west side in or near Peoria. Is there a specific team you're wanting to watch? The wife and I may also be going as our grandson is with the A's. They're in Mesa and he's going to big league camp this spring.. Let me know which side of town you're aiming for.

I live out here and attached a map. It's spread out so if you're going to be in a specific area food options, etc are more easily addressed. The Cubs are the nearest me and that's a great set up.

As far as weather it's typically sunny so hats, sunscreen, etc. Bring some warm clothes too. When they sun goes down so does the temperature. I have people visit during the winter and spring and even though I tell them sometimes they're caught off guard.

In the mornings you can watch practice and possibly get some autographs. That was as much fun as the games themselves.

That's at Scottsdale Road/Bell and near the quarter so lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Volanti is at the Scottsdale Airport and is pretty cool if you like planes. Sit on the patio and watch rich people come and go. Sugar Jam isn't far and a nice brunch type place. Chicken, shrimp and grits is really good. That area isn't nearby any of the spring training sites but the Diamondbacks, Rockies, Giants, Cubs and A's are easy to get to. Wrigleyville at Sloan park has a lot going on.

jja79- Thanks for the info.
What is the best way to get around? Should we rent a car or Uber?

Uber works but I'd prefer having a car myself. Any particular teams y'all want to see? Kids in your group?

No, just four (4) middle age men looking to enjoy some baseball. We like to eat and drink and are up for anything. None of us have been to Phoenix before

You're going to be a mile from the quarter which has lots of bars and restaurants. There's a Putt Shack there if that interests you. Down Scottsdale Road about 8 miles or so is Old Town Scottsdale with another bunch of bars and restaurants. Little east of you off the 101 is Talking Stick which is a nice casino with sports book, 2 golf courses and Top Golf. Y'all are staying in a great spot to have a lot of fun.

Thanks for the tips. We're in baseball / party mode, so no golf this trip.
We're looking forward to it.
