Any idea if they are going to allow bubble machines in the park this weekend?

Nothing directly prohibits bubbles but I assume the highlighted part does leave open possibility of nixing bubble machines and the like if they want to be jackasses.

In the past, they have confiscated bubble machines. They are very mean people, too.

Whammies in the slammer:

Honestly, every time I go to this classic, I get the feeling that nobody there actually wants to be hosting it. They do a very half-baked job and they act like it's an inconvenience to have people in their ballpark.

A long time ago in a far away land, when the astros weren't all that good yet, it didn't feel like that.

Went to the LSU-DBU midweek game at Globe Life Field.

The only thing more disappointing than their piss poor planning of LSU fan alcohol consumption was the level of consumption on the DBU side. It was just as bad if not worse.

Back in my baptist days when you had a crowd of baptists they usually refrained.

To your point, the MLB stadiums could do a much better job at preparing for, staffing and making these games more entertaining.

That's because they would tell on each other in crowds…at SWBTS we were warned that deacons often reported seminary students they saw at bars. Which begged the question of why they were there in the first place???

No, that's exactly right. But even 15 years ago, it was still not really well supported by the "support staff".

You went there in 2010, and it was like you were watching a set of baseball games that snuck into MMP.

100% agree.

I always find this thread funny each year that a stadium is worried about bubble machines. As another poster mentioned the drunk LSU fans are not a concern, but watch out for those bubble machines. Seriously folks, I think we are focused on the wrong things.

it probably says alot about me that my first thought was "nah I'm pretty sure I bought tickets that year" and says even more about my standards and expectations a decade ago.

Since it's not the juice box any more, I'm guessing the giant pumpkins have been removed from the train.

Does anyone know if Daikin Park's outside food and drink policy will apply for the tournament this weekend? Trying to figure out if I can bring food or if I will have to buy food in the stadium

Just a caveat: This does not always apply to special events. I've tried to bring food in to this thing before with that food policy and they told me no. One year, they turned me away for having sunscreen.

I say bring what you want within the confines of this list, but don't be surprised if they won't let you in with it.

They will be replaced, with what it has not be revealed as of yet. Unlikely but possibly just revert back to what it was before MM got the naming rights?

The Ags are the designated "home" team tonight and Saturday so should be in the 1st base dugout for these two games and in the 3rd base dugout Sunday.

I left my glasses case which had my prescription sunglasses in a cup holder of section 122 after our game last night.

I plan to be at the game tonight and can check with lost and found.

Just curious if anyone happened to grab them or if you're going to the early game and would be willing to check the lost and found.

I found them and gave them to the ump. Sorry, not sorry.
