Freshcorn big arm talent bad luck loss (that's baseball). Wilson looked better Moss nibbling as usual just pitch.

Hitting
Henseler as good as advertised,
Kent (great ab in bottom of 9th)
Kiel (hitting great needs to play everyday). I'll give him a pass for trying to hustle to 3rd in the 9th.
Galloway has had some good AB's but dumb ones as well.
The rest have been awful

Earley so far it's not worked as easily as it was supposed to for him. I for one think it's going to make him/us a way better team by the end of the year. He's learning as well but he's got to do a better job with the lineup.
Got to protect Henseler and batting Jace cleanup may get him out of his slump.

Getting Sorrell back will help but if the lineup isn't put together properly it won't matter. Schott is not who you want protecting your best hitter. Last night it cost us big time with the first inning non sense,

No more loyalty take the one's who can play and sit the ones who can't and move on.

I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with a lineup where only 1 person can hit. Probably need to take a deeper look at his issues.

I thought moving Jace to 3/4/5 to take the pressure off of him or to wake him up.

Jace would not have been up with the bases loaded because someone else would have had to get on base in his slot. Who would that have been.

Kent or Kiel in the two hole

Jace because he's the better chance to walk. Especially since they will throw him nothing but off speed because he can't hit off speed. He's our version of a Pedro Serrano except he will take a walk. He and Early have to get that figured out (and I'm sure they are well aware of that)- the book is out on him and it will affect his MLB potential.

Jace was in 3 hole last year. Move him until his bat wakes up. Take the pressure off. Put more on. He is a 300 hitter. He will go on a tear soon.

These guys can hit, just have to work their way out of it. Have a feeling its going to take awhile. To many new faces. Including a rookie coach.

it's amazing it only took 8 games for everything to unravel

but here we are

sometimes it's darkest before the dawn. baseball is a long season. it's clear this team is struggling but to believe these guys all of a sudden just suck and won't improve is not accurate. i think not only have they all started slowly but losing grahovic is also a punch in the gut especially with sorrel being hurt. but i do think they will get it figured out and if they can get their bullpen figured out long term tbis team has a chance to have a rally good to great season. it is important they start playing with a sense of urgency. move a runner, play a little small ball to make something happen. hitting can be very contagious. so can winning.
