Kiel has earned a chance to stay in the line up with a hot bat and PLUS fielding.

Schott, Berg and Bindy platoon as DH.

Ive got no problem with that but TK should not be out of the lineup.
I would like TK, Kent, Wyatt, Jace, Sorrell after that it's open and Farr had some really good contact with no reward.

Not only this but push the DH down to the 7 or 8 hole until one of them starts hitting. Seems like sometimes we want to put the DH in the 4 or 5 just because he's the DH. No need to do that.

We're loaded with lefties so we are kinda forced to go back-to-back lefties.

DH (right hander, Schott or Berg)

Kiel is not exactly killing the ball. A couple of bouncers and flare against Rice and chopper IF hit against Arizona is not exactly lighting up the OPS. Now those can be turned into the doubles if we would send him a little more. I agree he should be in the lineup because his ABs are competitive and his speed puts pressure on the defense but not proposing he move to the top.

I really like Superfish leading off. Not sure I'd change that.

I's definitely out whoever is the best defensively at 2nd. Once the bats come alive consistently we should be fine on offense. Defense is the bigger need in that spot.

I like this lineup as well but Bear and Berghevin should get some more ab's in these mid week games. Schott IMO needs rest.

I'll disagree about Schott. I think what he and Jace need right now are lots of AB's. Both were limited or out in the fall and need to get back up to speed before SEC play.

The way LaViolette is struggling at the plate, I might think about moving him back to 5th or 6th in the line-up until he starts seeing, and hitting, the ball a lot better and regains his confidence or whatever he's missing.

Yep. And bringing him back for the start of sec play is not ideal. Don't be surprised if it takes him a couple of weeks to get going.

Oh I 100 percent agree. Which is why I thought he'd be back for next weeks midweek game. Or if not and waits for the bama series, I won't expect too much from his return (I hope for awesome, but that's a big ask)

Great and timely post this morning OP. Some really good points in this thread.

Regarding Sorrel, I wouldn't rush anything. Obviously we have missed his bat and had a few adventures in the OF early on, but with the lineup as currently constructed with TK in LF and George in RF is more than serviceable.

Put him in the field only when he's fully ready to go. In the interim, ease him in at DH giving Schott a spell as well.

I'm not changing a thing in the IF until further notice -- Henseler, KK, Farr and Kash have that on lock until they don't.
