Would like to see him get a few innings behind the plate as this is the biggest drop off from last years team (My opinion). He played catcher most of the time and threw out 25% of base runners.

I'm curious to see him get some reps there as well.

What we've seen behind the dish has been serviceable, but have we thrown any runners out? Appel's arm was a weapon as I recall…

I like the idea. Appel was very underrated. He was our most consistent hitter last year and solid behind the plate. Neither Galloway nor Bear seem to be anything close. George offensively seems like a wash vs Galloway but he does add the extra dimension of speed, assuming Earley decides at some point to use that asset. As far as defense that is where George played last year. So why would we play hm there? It only took a month before we put Kash back at his normal position.

Just hope we get this train back on the tracks at some point.

Galloway has been the better of the two offensively but neither one has impressed me defensively. So far when teams have stolen bases I don't feel like either one has been close to throwing anyone out (at least in the games I have watched).

I would be fine with them giving George a crack at it. If not, George should get a chance at second base if Farr doesn't get better offensively. I really don't want to see George in the outfield anymore.

It looks like we are 1/10 Galloway 0-4 , Bear 1-6. Based on that it would be nice to see George get a shot.

By contrast the catcher from Cal Poly is hitting .396 and has thrown out 5 base runners. I guess that kid played with Payton at LBSU. To me that is the biggest issue with this team at the present.

First, putting George behind the plate means you would play who in the outfield? George needs to stay in RF for our defense.

Second, Galloway has struck out only one time all year. He's had good AB's. I get it that he's not throwing guys out but does he call a good game? If so, keep him in there

Last series before the games really mean something. When would you get George reps if your going to see if he can play? Rojo and a few other guys I think could hold up for a game or two.

You still have midweek games George can play in.
I much rather keep George in the OF until Sorrell comes back. Then you can get George reps at catcher
