We're incredibly thin with productive right handed batters, to a fault really, exacerbated when Sorrel returns to the lineup and George goes back to situational duty given that Bear and Bergevin project as considerable underachievers thus far. So the old RLRLRLRL concept is out the window. Something I hope is being discussed on our coaching staff would look something like this:

1. Kiel r
2. Kent l
3. Hensler r
4. Jace l
5. Kash l

Now it gets harder, but given that Schott can't run I'd drop him farther back if he's the DH.

6. Farr s/l
7. Galloway l
8. Schott l
9. George s/r

The only thing going for Binderup is that he's a righty but Kash has proven he can't handle outfield, so I don't see him leaving 1B and that reduces Binderup to compete for DH with Schott, Bergevin and Bear.

Some pretty disappointing results from the transfer portal offensively speaking. Grahovac's loss is growing by the day, and Sorrel can't get back too soon. Regardless of pitching and the rookie head coach's questionable aptitude, we have some serious offensive issues that aren't likely to turn around overnight.

Keeping Kiel out of the top three in the lineup given his performance is a head scratcher. And he's the fastest player in the lineup. I'd like to see him finish the weekend leading off the order.

Nice thoughts, but I don't think it's going to matter this year.
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
