Send an encouraging note to players and coaches on social media...

That and continuing to show up strong at Olsen to support the team when you can is the best play for a fan at this point.

We have lights out starting pitching, past proven hitters, and lots of baseball left!

As bad as the team is playing right now, a road trip to anywhere is probably not the worst thing in the world. Just a change of scenery might help them to loosen up. It did in 2022 when we beat LSU 2 out of 3 on the road out of nowhere. But, it's sure hard to project that happening with what we've seen to date.

Encouraging notes is not going to square up swings and hit with RISP
Showing up to Olsen is not going to improve fielding
We have lights out starting pitching and a very questionable bullpen

Maybe hanging some motivational posters in the dugout will help.

Encouraging note:

I encourage you to swing at pitches down the middle and not swing at pitches out of the strike zone. That is a serious problem right now and the fact we hired our hitting coach and all of the sudden cannot hit for sh%t is mind blowing!!!

Thank you sir!

I always thought Texags should include a spelling and grammar check for those with Ag tags.

Until then I guess ags will just help ags the old fashioned way!

It will do more than you whining about it here!

Forget everything I wrote...what we really need is cords12 to host a hitting clinic for coaches and players.

Hahaha! It has been a few years, but I once was a pretty dang good clean up hitter. That said, I most definitely don't have the expertise to host a batting clinic, but I do have enough baseball experience to see the difference in approach at the plate from Kiel to Kent. Kiel is putting bat on ball, focusing on high % contact over power, while Kent is swinging out of his shoes, low percentage swings. Even the announcers commented all weekend on Kent's at bats, saying wow that's a mighty big swing for strike 3. Sometimes you have to fight off the pitcher and foul some close ones off until you get your pitch. That is rarely happening in this lineup and way too much chasing out of the zone. This lack of offense is most definitely more than just a slump.

I would also agree with another post, that Terrence Kiel should be leadoff hitter. He's getting on base and he has speed! Keep mixing up the lineup and give guys on the bench a chance when others aren't producing until you find what works. At this point, there isn't much to lose by taking chances on some new guys!

Agree with OP. A change of scenery and any little bit of positivity can do wonders. Life isn't over.
