I'm sorry that kind of futility needs to have someone fired/reassigned etc.
strikeouts make the game much easier.
We struck out over a game and a half unbelievable.

Edit - All kidding aside, it is going to take a change in mentality at the plate in order for this team to produce runs. I know exit velocity and launch angles are data points that are focused on when looking at batters but if you are not making contact with the ball - it doesn't matter. As of this past Thursday (doesn't include the abysmal Vandy series offensive numbers), the Aggies were 176th in Division 1 baseball in on base percentage and 139th in slugging percentage.

Those types of numbers don't produce many runs.

This team is about to start getting run ruled by the likes of Tennessee, Arkansas, and others. In a few weeks we will look at this weekends box score with fondness. When the true embarrassment starts and apathy with the team sets in, we will find out if the AD is worth keeping too.

Which tells you everything you need to know about our hitters - they completely stunk it up this weekend…which was the point of the OP. As stated above, even so-so hitting would have gotten us one, possibly two, wins in Nashville.

True. In a big way, this will be a test to see if our AD cares about the baseball program and winning. It's abundantly clear that hiring Earley was a mistake. I'm not blaming him for the hire, many on here including myself were in favor of it. But I will blame him big time if Earley is here next year (barring an extremely unlikely massive turnaround).

I think we've seen some series like this in the first couple of weeks of the season when we play the small northern teams facing some of our pitchers who go in the first round.

I know that there are SEC games where one pitcher will be dominating and the team will record 16 or 17 Ks, but it doesn't happen in all games of the series. It's always been an outlier.

We did in in a two and Q at Stanford in the 1997 Regional against two first round draft picks, Jeff Weaver (DET) and Jeff Austin (KC).
