I agree our batters chased far too much yesterday on pitches that a competent umpire would have called a ball. We did not have a competent Blue in the bucket yesterday. I'm not saying he cost the Aggies the game because he was mostly equally bad both halves of the inning, I'm just pointing out this fact. If you got two strikes on you already, you got to try to protect on anything close and yesterday that could be a pitch almost anywhere.

I hear you and agree. But this pitch finished at the collar bone. That said, total time is .4 seconds, and the batter has less than that to decide. Crazy. That pitch was never in the zone. If it can't be hit, and the ump rings you up, oh well. These guys just can't let baseball get them down. Baseball will even out, and more so for these players I believe. Play the game they love, and Earley deal with the W/L. I think he probably is.

Edited to add, that more than 6 game losing streaks happen in MLB to champion teams. College season is just shorter.
