I believe Tennessee is likely to win the series, but I see it a a 2-1 weekend. A&M is going to get it together before this season ends. It could very well come against an opponent who is currently holding the slot A&M started the season with. If Earley can use that to motivate the team, this is the weekend to do it.

Wanted to ask in a a new thread but this one seems appropriate.
Does the narrative change for you if A&M were to somehow win this series?
For me, yes. As it as least continues to leave the door open for a run to get into the NCAA tourney. And yes, I do not give up easily as I love baseball and want to cheer on a D1 baseball team damnit!!

Vitello is impressive. What he has done there and continues to do. He is smart, driven and it is easy to see why he is able to recruit. I think Earley has that same potential. He (Earley) could have used a few more years as an assistant to become as confident and polished as Vitello.
I am pretty sure Early thought he was a few years away from being ready.Mike88 said:

If this team makes the tournament, they will have gotten very hot in order to overcome a very cold start, so that would change things. But, not making the tournament, no matter how close they might come, would be an abject failure. If we ended up 13-17 in the SEC, for example, I would hate to be in Trev's shoes. He's probably not pull the trigger, but, he would know that we crapped the bed with the best talent Earley is ever likely to have, which would not be a comforting thought.dcg4403 said:

I love the insanely jealous "oil money" comments from every coach in every sport regarding A&MWabs said:
"They've got alot of oil money down there". Yes, we do. Would you mind accepting a huge wad of it to come coach here?
