Is it all 16 teams or are they leaving out teams like they did when it was 14. I'm thinking since there are four more teams the playoffs would work better than it obviously would have with 14.

And truly, I'm looking for an answer to my question. I don't need people coming on here saying that Aggie's won't be making anything, regardless.

Ags will be there, but probably shouldn't book any hotel rooms. Just have a flight scheduled to leave about 2 hours after the end of their game

Thank you. Well, I'm glad to hear that. I understood the structure was weird with 14 teams, but I always hated that two got left out. It just didn't really seem fair given that everyone should have a shot at the tournament. Weird things can happen.

What made the old format bad was first games were single elimination, then you go to double elimination, then back to single. Now that it's all single elimination, it will be easier to follow scheduling.

Our Texas Aggies could end up with a 9-12 seed hosting a 13-16 game 1 and a single elim game vs a 5-8 seed which could be enough to at least make the tourney. Aggies would likely be a 2 or 3 seed in a regional hosted by Big 12 or ACC team.
