I know errors happen but yesterday had an outsized impact with both errors costing multiple runs.
The ball that bounced off of Jace's glove gave up a run and lost an out. Later that inning SC's #8 hitter is able to bunt in a run with one out. He's batting .188 so if he comes up with two outs we likely get out of that inning with no runs scored.
The botched double play allowed a run to score on that play and more to follow after. I know you can't assume a double play but that was tailor made. Turn that and the next batter flies out to end the inning and Prager likely gets through the 7th giving up only 1 run and possibly gets through the 8th TBH. A line of 7 IP and 1 run looks much better than 6.2 IP and 5 runs.
Even if Prager only goes 7 that means Moss only needs to get two innings and he could still be available for another appearance this weekend. As it is he had to get 3.1 on 66 pitches so he's likely not available the rest of the weekend.
