Maybe he should, but he definitely won't. After he sacrificed his opportunity to turn pro, that would be an insult, at this point anyway.
If Prager had been pulled when Earley came out of the dugout after RP retired the first two batters of the 7th, we would have a different view of his start last night.
That was a 4-6-3 grounder that Royo botched earlier. Shoulda been 7-3 at that point.
We need a better Prager going forward, but he gave us a chance to win.

Better gloves last night would have meant we would have a better view of how he pitched last night.
I agree. Need to mix it up a bit. Wouldn't mind seeing Moss start although has been lights out in the pen
He also has a HR on his stat sheet that hit the inside of Jace's glove before leaving the park.

Velocity is down from last year but he still has excellent stuff. The fastball is not the issue. It is a command issue. He doesnt seem to have the same level of confidence. I bet he figures it out and we see the same level of command as last year.
He was good last night. Certainly not excellent or elite.
It was our midfield defense mostly that has been killing us this season. I go CRAZY when we give up runs...thej extra crazy when loss b/c of it. We gave up far too many runs. Never should have been in that situation with Prager.
Another good sign: 28 batters faced with zero walks and zero HBP.. 8 strikeouts
Not Prager's fault that Royo had a rough game last night, or that the defense generally is not very sharp when he starts, for some reason.
Royo wishes he did differently on Thursday night, Not just the lackadaisical effort on the blooper down the right line where he should have had a two-bagger if he put in effort, but also kicked a DP play ball that not only allowed a runner to advance, but botched the force at 2B and allowed a run to score.
Prager needs to remain Friday night guy, but the defense needs to pull their head out and not give up unearned runs when he's on the bump.
After the Bindi Salami, we saw Prager pitch with a lead and he was dealing.
The mound visit was a mistake, but that's how baseball go sometimes.

Huh? I'm not weighing in on who should pitch when, but this isn't little league. It shouldn't matter who you are or what you've done in the past. The best performers get the start. I would expect the guys that are playing understand this better than anyone.
