Here's to Men's Basketball finally achieving what baseball has 8 times already and make it to an Elite8. Hopefully Bucky can do what hasn't been done in 113yrs of Aggie Mens Basketball.

I am no basketball fan, but those aren't analogous. There are 30ish baseball programs with resources and/or talent access to be serious contenders year in and out. Plus, single elimination tournament in basketball. College World Series is a better comparison to Final Four with Super Regionals being more like Sweet 16.

Competition is analogous. Compete and win according to the rules of the sport being played. Historically baseball here has been much more successful than basketball. Be excited about Bucky! That's wonderful! However, this is the baseball board not the basketball board. .

I don't hive a crap about basketball and most Ags don't which further drives my point. If you aren't an SEC baseball programs, or one of the handful of B12 or ACC schools who give a crap about baseball, or one of the Cal/AZ programs with close proximity to the best talent pool your chances of getting to the CWS is slim to none. For every Coastal Carolina in baseball there are a lot more VCU, Florida Atlantic, Wichita States, etc, etc, etc.

A&M making it to the Super Regionals in baseball should be table stakes every other year.

I mean, it IS analogous. There are 8 teams in the CWS. And 16 teams in the Supers. I'm not even sure what you're arguing.

Spend those funds for baseball players and upgrades.

Basketball is a suck game.

I was really talking about his exciting high scoring brand of basketball relating to our baseball teams bats waking up and scoring like crazy… that's all… I wasn't trying to start an argument about which is better or trying to compare post season success…

Me too, and I'm not even really into basketball that much but let's be honest, a guy named Bucky coming to Texas A&M? He was already halfway there.

That said the little I have seen of him he has a really good energy.
