Rudis came in the top of 6th and immediately gave up a double to right. It cannot be overstated how important Kiels relay to Kent or Royo to cut down the runner at the plate. It settled Rudis down and kept it at 10 instead of 13. I'm afraid if we don't make that play we get run ruled.

I think South Carolina got a little sloppy on that, too. It just seemed to me the runner wasn't running so fast. Like he thought the game was already won and one extra run would be nice but not necessary.

The focus, and rightly so, is on the last inning and the two grand slams to win the game. It has already been posted of the rarity of the possibility of that even happening. But to your point, there are several things that has to happen to even make that possible. This is one for sure. Getting a few runs in the 6th, 7th, and 8th to cut into the lead was huge. You have to play each and every play of the game in order to even have a chance for the miracle to occur. So proud of these guys not giving up. Just keep it going.
