Great weekend as part of a great season so far. Congrats to the softball team. Number 1 in Softball America and numero uno RPI. Coaches and ESPN polls still to come but likely they will show the same thing after the land thieves and sips lost this weekend while we swept the number 5/6 team.

Way to go ladies! It is kind of early but it will be interesting to see how they seed the regionals if the rankings stay like they are now. Also, if the highest ranked teams win, we won't have to worry about playing tu or OU in the tournament unless we all make it to Oklahoma City.

Coach Ford has built an exceptionally talented, diverse team. Power, speed, and a deep pitching staff. She's one of the best, if not THE best, pitching coaches in college softball. I'd say right now she's the best coach we have on campus and it's not close.

impossible to argue the last point. i don't follow that closely but i know they have been on a meteoric rise since she took over. we had gotten a little stale towards the end of evans tenure. amazing job.

I love coach Ford, been fun to follow the softball team since she's got here. We've got some awesome girls on the team that make it fun win or lose.

What a great hire she has been. Always needed pitching with some depth and we got it. She knows what buttons to push and when. We can compete with anyone.

Absolutely we are a softball school having won 3 national titles and 3 runner up finishes to go with 11 trips to the World Series (this includes AIAW which preceded the NCAA tournament)

Coach Ford has returned us to glory.

Our women's programs are really strong. You look at what softball, tennis, volleyball and track are doing. It is exceptional. We have some outstanding coaching staffs within the women's programs and all are competing at a high level with a solid future in front of them.

The reality is all non revenue sports at a school like Texas A&M (recruiting base, financial resources) should be damn near elite. Too much local talent, especially with Aggie ties to not elite rosters. The revenue sports get a lot more competitive (NIL, massive recruiting budgets, tv exposure, etc.).

Certainly not intentional. They are also having a great year. We have a lot to be proud of within all our women's programs.

Just a couple of programs that need some attention (basketball and soccer).

Love watching these ladies play!! And, I agree, Coach Ford is absolutely one of the best coaches on campus. What she's done in her short time at A&M is remarkable.
