I asked AI a few questions on why A&M doesn't win Nattys in the big 3. I'll give you the highlights of what it said:

A&M's culture values belonging and tradition more than ruthlessly winning.

In short: They want to win, but they want to win their way and that's less efficient.

TL;DR The core reason is cultural conservatism > cutthroat competitiveness.

A&M has to stomach a little "bad character" if they want rings.

Bottom line:
If Aggies want natties in football, basketball, or baseball they're going to have to get comfortable hiring and tolerating more "Schlossnagle types":
Cutthroat
Self-interested
Slightly disloyal
Unsentimental about Aggie tradition

Character fit won't win trophies. Killer instinct will.

i think a lot of what is stated is fairly accurate. however i do not believe u can't win if ur a quality person. or u can't win by running a clean program, whatever that means these days. i think what is equally responsible for our lack of big time success is that we are very reactive and insecure. if you think about it that's a bad combo for making good decisions.

Our athletic programs are not morally and ethically superior to schools that win titles. I don't buy that for a second.

I think exactly none of that is accurate.

Ags who argue that the programs have been held back because of an unwillingness to play dirty have 0.0 concept of history or reality. It's a totally bogus take that reeks of unfounded moral superiority.

I agree that the problem is cultural, but it's certainly not due to some "good bull, aw shucks, at least our hearts are pure" mentality.
