The baseball team is done. They quit. Time to move on and go all out for our ladies. Who really cares about what the guys do the next two weeks. They threatened leaving if they didn't get their wish, then proceeded to quit. Nice

To each their own, but I see it completely opposite. Softball is incredibly entertaining and faster paced than baseball (and I love baseball). It is definitely the most interesting Female team sport IMO. In fact the WCWS has outperformed the MCWS in recent history so much of the country is catching on. The WCWS is a phenomenal made for tv, and ESPN has done amazingly well with it.

LOL . . . if you could not enjoy the '22 or '24 baseball seasons as well as many others since A&M won a Natty in a "sport that matters" until now, maybe you should find something else to do with your free time besides following sports.

Yes enjoy all the high points, but if you're discounting what's happening with Coach Ford and this years softball team because it's women's sports and you don't know the game.

Simply said what this team has accomplished against quad 1, the sec and being number 1 overall is ****ing amazing!

Support your Ags, hell hop on the bandwagon if you've missed all year, enjoy this ride because it going to be bad ass!!!

I agree with this. Very happy for the #1 Aggie women's softball team but it is not the same as watching baseball.

I'm not a rabid softball fan by any means, but I'll be watching the ladies as they take on the rest of the field. Hopefully in route to a national title. I hope they fair better than other teams who have donned the #1 ranking at any point in the season.

Based on what? The most watched WCWS game ever was in 2007. The Ags & Tenn had almost 1M more viewers last year than the sips & OU did in the WCWS final.

I said in recent history, the WCWS has outperformed the MCWS, not every year. In both 2021 and 2022 this happened. The point is not to slight the MCWS because that is amazing as it always is. The point is to emphasize how far softball has come for it to ever outperform the MCWS in ratings, something I didnt think would ever happen. Last year's finals was the most watched WCWS on record and yes the MCWS had even better numbers. Viewership and investment from ESPN into the sport is absolutely growing.

When the women's basketball team won in 2011, it was awesome and very entertaining. Softball doesn't have the same umph as bouncy ball though

Same here. I love baseball. Played it for a long time. But overall softball is a much more energetic game than baseball, especially at the collegiate level. Also helps that most of the girls aren't hired guns (yet).

Baseball
Soccer
Hockey
As well as softball

They are better when you understand them.

I didn't appreciate track until Pat Henry came here and won national championships and I learned that the mile relay for all the marbles is the best most exciting most pure athletic competition in the collegiate world. Not saying that softball makes it to that level, but it can be darn exciting these ladies are outstanding competitors.

So good luck and gig'em. I am behind you every step of the way and I hope everyone reading this is as well!
