So there is going to be 2 summer collegiate teams in BCS? If so, will be interesting to see if there is enough support to keep both of them.
Yes, the Bombers are moving to CS and the Yard Dogs will be the new Bryan team.
The official roll out and logo reveal and such is tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11:15 downtown at the Kimbell for anyone interested.

I'm much likely to give the new team a chance than to give the Bombers management another one.
The Bryan team is in the mid America league and the Bombers are in Texas collegiate league. I think there's plenty of interest to keep both going.

I think the real question is will they give out baseball card team sets at some point during the season? To my knowledge the Bombers never have.

I assume the Yard Dogs will play at Travis Park? Where will the Bombers play?
Yes, Bombers are moving to CS. Field still to be determined. It was going to be at Veteran's park but now there is a new proposal farther south.
I'm not familiar with the Mid American League. Do you know anything about it?
Just what I learned today. They have teams in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas. It's a hybrid league so teams are made up of both collegiate players and players who have exhausted their eligibility but are still attempting to make it to professional baseball.
Seems reminiscent of the Round Rock Express mascot Spike, but more angry/ready to fight.
I thought so as well. There's a name the mascot contest starting Monday.

This is a completely uninformed post because all I know about this venture os what I've read here. It sounds like they'd better have money to burn given the travel.

I met one of them Wednesday. He's in commercial real estate. Huge baseball fan. Not sure what the other owner does.
Is the guy you met with local? And do you know if there is a GM in place?
He is not local as far as I know.
The GM is Scott Kirk. He moved here from Abilene to start this team. He was associated with the team there that is changing leagues.

The maps and proposal I saw was building on Midtown Drive, across from Christ Church. We are kinda excited because it's a medium walk from our house. It beats the hell out of a datacenter. They are planning on a 2027 season for the Bombers at the new field.

Does it seem problematic that ~18 months before the season starts, CStat is still trying to figure out where to put the field.
