Aggie baseball instagram posted what appeared to be some scrimmage footage.

Not that it means anything, but it was interesting to see who was where on defense.

Showed Gavin at 2nd flipping to Hacopian at Short… couldn't tell who was a first on that play.

Also showed Gavin at 3rd charging a ball and making a throw.

Saw Royo at short throwing to Binderup at 1st on the other squad.

I thought it was odd as well.

Anyone notice who was playing first on that play?

I think it was Bear but it could have also been Wesley Jordan. I have seen lots of clips that show Binderup at first but know it wasn't him this time around

Gavin at second would be odd to me. If Nico is needed at all as a pitcher, why not put him at second and keep the load on his arm to a minimum?

Maybe trying to protect Gavin's shoulder?

Or is this a situation where everyone gets work in at different positions in case of injury? That what they can slide over to other spots if necessary.
