Headed to Norman for the series. Never been, anyone have insight on places to hang out? Excited for the series, AND its St Patty's Day weekend. Thanks in advance.

It's been a while. I have to say that, back in the Big XII days, Norman itself was not a big attraction for visitors because it is basically a suburb of OKC where most of the action is. In looking around for a place to stay and such, it looks like to me that there has been some development in this regard in the intervening years, but I don't have any personal experience on the subject.

I'll be staying at the Embassy Suites in Norman.

I recommend staying in Bricktown in OKC and driving to the games as Norman is basically nothing.

Lots of bars, restaurants, and hotel options in Bricktown.

The only thing I miss about the Big 12 is the tournament there. That was the ideal place for a tournament. I think the SEC tournament is staying in Hoover forever, but if they ever seriously consider another spot, they should look at Bricktown.

Baseball takes up most of the weekend so I don't know if you'll have much extra "sightseeing" time. But anyone going to OKC I always recommend the Murray Building (OCK Bombing) Memorial. The museum is excellent and very moving.

The game times on this series are a little unusual, with Saturday being a 4:00 p.m. start, and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. So, on Saturday, you will have time to kill during the day.

Agree. That was an ideal spot. I enjoyed just walking around Bricktown.
