Both teams have that Tuesday bc it's right before the last season series.

Because SEC rules say we can't?

Nothing prevents such a matchup if both teams would like to do so to replace the cancelled game to fill in the number of games allowed in a season but SEC rules do prevent such a game as counting in the SEC standings.

Also. It's not the same. College baseball is set up for teams to be built for 3 game series played in 3 days. Having a one off make up game later might benefit a team by being fully rested that's not built to win a 3rd game as well or a team that had to use up pitching.

Seems dumb not to make it up.
But I'm not a baseball guy.

Meh. My hope is we face them again in the SEC tournament.

This.

Sip had gone through a ton of their pitching. We won the first one, dominated the 2nd one and had them on the ropes between the ears well positioned to take them out on Sunday. They got lucky to avoid another loss with with bad weather.

And we were set up great for yesterday because Moss hadn't been used yet

To be fair, they hadn't used Volantis either.

But I firmly believe we'd have smacked him the same way we did their other 'vaunted' pitchers lol!

But isn't he their standard 3rd day starter?

We obviously were planning on using Moss out of the pen in games 1or 2 and then going all hands on deck for the 3rd game. So him not having to be used was a bonus for us.

He is. He's also their best numbers wise (even if you don't count the beatings their Friday and Saturday guys got).

But it wouldn't have mattered, the way our guys swung the bat this weekend. We also had Freshcorn available- he said he was available Saturday but we didn't need him due to Lyons pitching so well.

Gus thought it was set up to pitch your Friday night starter 9 innings, then bring him in relief during the Saturday double-header.

Interestingly Sims is also our best pitcher and was also our Sunday starter until Earley decided to adjust our pitching rotation last week. Too bad for sips that POS didn't do the same thing.
