A couple of interesting series this weekend. Vandy really needs a win or two for RPI. Bama could really help their host case, probably a last gasp effort for TX State. And A&M Florida could be for a Super host.

Georgia @ Ole Miss should be great. Ole Miss has been arguably the hottest team in the country over the last month.

all right, the Ags are making their 4th trip to Gainesville for another series vs. the Gators

since the Ags joined the SEC in 2013, A&M and UF have played 25 times in 4 different locations

the maroon-n-white are 12-13 in the 25 matchups:

5-4 at Blue Bell
4-2 in Hoover
2-0 in Omaha
1-8 in Gainesville -- woof

Florida swept in 2016 and 2021. The Ags won the middle game of the series in 2024.

so a great opportunity for the '26 squad to make more history this weekend

Protect Olsen (4 wins) and don't get swept on the road (at least 2 wins), and we're sitting pretty for a top 8 seed.

Real story, originally typed in ESPN2 for our game and noticed that would not work with LSU/MSU later in the evening and simply did not backspace correctly.

Early and I'm sure it won't end the way I want but Mizzou leads pig 3-0 B3.

If you look up "loser" in the dictionary, there's a picture of Missouri baseball next to it. They did everything imaginable to lose tonight and finally got it accomplished. SMH.

What is interesting from an RPI standpoint is that LSU's RPI is currently at 64. For the Aggies, that 3-game sweep is currently 3 Q2 wins. If LSU can beat MSU their RPI is predicted to go up 58 points which would move them into the low to mid 50s RPI wise. That would change A&M's Q1 metrics from 4-6 to 7-6 before we take into consideration the Florida outcome.

If LSU wins, the Aggies' sweep of the tigers becomes 3 Q1 wins for RPI purposes. They are currently 64 which puts those wins in Q2.
