Let's drop this now that John Sharp is gone. The games are played in College Station.

This has been discussed to death, but it's a pet peeve of mine. The Texas A&M campus is not "in" College Station. It is in an unincorporated part of Brazos County and, since the mid/late 1940s, has been surrounded by College Station.
I DGAS about the marketing part of it, BTW, but I'm pretty sure that Bryan has paid $$$ to be added to the location of A&M sporting events.

Agree. I had not even noticed it.
I don't think this was a Sharp thing. I think I remember this was the University and the ongoing fight between CS and Bryan.Texas A & M said:

It was part of negotiations for tax support from two cities for expanding Kyle. I'm not sure what the point is in complaining since the expansion is complete and mostly a positive.Angry Beaver said:I don't think this was a Sharp thing. Why is it called DFW airport?
It's College Station because the Post Office called it that prior to incorporation…Iraq2xVeteran said:
For Texas A&M athletics, it's College Station. All of the main venuesKyle Field, Olsen Field, Reed Arena, and Davis Diamondare located there. "BryanCollege Station" is a regional or marketing label and doesn't change where games are played.

This doesn't bother me as much as "Texas A&M Aggies" instead of "Texas Aggies."

The outfield wall used to say Texas in left center and Aggies in right center. I found a picture that shows the Texas part.

I always thought the "new" mention of Bryan is because the RELLIS campus of Texas A&M University is in entirely in Bryan, which hasn't always been the case. The campus was annexed by Bryan in 2019. Since part of the local campus is in College Station, and part in Bryan, both are listed.
