Starting a new thread to mimic the one from last week. If the Ags lose the series again this weekend, I will NOT be making a thread for the last weekend of the season.
GEORGIA (18-6, .750)
vs. LSU
at Auburn
TEXAS A&M (15-8, .652)
at Ole Miss
vs. Mississippi State
TEXAS (15-8, .652)
at Tennessee
vs. Missouri
MISSISSIPPI STATE (14-10, .583)
vs. Auburn
at Texas A&M
AUBURN (14-10, .583)
at Mississippi State
vs. Georgia
ARKANSAS (13-11, .542)
vs. Oklahoma
at Kentucky
FLORIDA (13-11, .542)
vs. Kentucky
at LSU
ALABAMA (13-11, .542)
as South Carolina
vs. Ole Miss
OLE MISS (12-12, .500)
vs. Texas A&M
at Alabama
OKLAHOMA (12-12, .500)
at Arkansas
vs. Tennessee (at Bricktown, for some reason)
Everyone not listed above has been eliminated from SEC title contention. Actually, Ole Miss would lose a tiebreaker with UGA, so they can't be the #1 seed in Hoover, either. Granted, it is unlikely anyone will catch Georgia, so this is probably a moot (or moo) point.
Texas A&M needs to go no worse than 4-2 in our last 6 games to get to 19 wins. That's a tall order. Doable, but a tall order.
Texas will get to at least 19 wins, but it's more likely they'll be 20-9 in league play this year.
Mississippi State and Auburn will have to go 5-1 down the stretch (yikes...) to get to the magical 19 win mark. But since they play each other this weekend, one of them will fall off the pace.
But look at Arkansas - it wouldn't be too crazy for them to finish 6-0 to get to 19 wins as well. I think they'll drop at least one, but a 6-0 finish is not out of the realm of possibility. Same with Florida. 6-0...while not guaranteed...is not at all impossible.
Oh...and there's Alabama with 3 easy games this weekend and 3 winnable games the following weekend. What a cluster things could be in the top third of the SEC standings.
Ole Miss and Oklahoma...while safely in the NCAA field...have a ton of work to do to get into the hosting discussion. Again, not impossible, but not likely.
