No way Darren is missing that paycheck. Rain, snow, corona be dammed.
I was just looking at tournaments in GA to see if they are playing. I am curious what other travel/cub sports will go on or get canceled. My son starts summer baseball in May involving a lot of travel obviously.
We are still going with our season at our local Little League. Some parents are asking questions but our schools are still open and no cases in our county or adjacent counties
In SoCal, USSSA events are cancelled for the rest of the month.
Imagine the **** storm if this all happened a week earlier as teams from across the nation were coming in.

Tourney in Taylor is still on, however, the organization my son plays for just suspended all operations until further notice.

However, if anyone is going to keep playing it's usssa baseball and the overzealous travel ball coaches and dads. This is not surprising.
Professional/collegiate games are postponed and canceled but let's make sure little Johnny gets his reps in. This is nothing but a cash grab for those involved.

We pulled out. Not worth the risk to the grandparents who refuse to stay home.

USSSA just announced all sanctioned events beginning tomorrow at 5pm are now cancelled until further notice. This effectively means that if your team operates under the USSSA insurance policy, you will NOT be covered. All tournaments also cancelled until further notice.

A baseball only takes 3 squirts of Purell and you're good to go....not much of a sacrifice.
I feel bad for all of the kids missing out on their sports this year. I know my kids were geared up for soccer and baseball and had both just finished basketball. Boy and girl elementary school.
I have very fond memories of my sports as a kid and I am sure my kids love it as much or more than I did. It is killing them.
