Great news for OKC residents! The game was halted just minutes before tip off when a Thunder official got the news of the positive test for Jazz player Gobert, who was a complete ass and had gone out of his way to touch every single thing he could in the visitor's locker room. FWIW, the Jazz had another player whose test came back positive the next day.
So the Thunder players really didn't have much physical contact with the Jazz players, which they would have if the game had been played. I have read that the Thunder staff had the visitor's locker room thoroughly cleaned that night.
The Jazz had played the Celtics before coming to OKC. Four of the Boston players have since tested positive.
On a down note though, the Gobert positive test was the first one reported in pro or college sports and the NBA postponed the rest of their season/tournament based on that test. The NCAA and most pro sports leagues followed suit shortly afterword.
So you can blame the OKC Thunder for that, I guess. They got the ball rolling.
