Yeah my wife's pregnant been 100% quarantined for over a week, I'm doing my best to stay isolated, but have to make a living and get anything she needs. I'm paranoid I'm going to get her sick.
Add in the normal central Texas March allergies and it's an interesting ride.

Yep...drainage and cough...I keep feeling my forehead every 30 minutes to see if I'm warm!! Never worried about it in my life before this...I just don't want to get it because I would feel terrible if I gave it to someone else!! Dang allergies!!

I rarely get a fever. Started feeling weird the other day and checked my temp.... 99.7 degrees. The cold panic chills hit me immediately. I have been nowhere near anybody...no way I should have it. How is this happening?

Tried another thermometer. 96.7 degrees. WTF....?? Test result......I need new thermometers, and to stop watching the news.

Yep, March is always bad for my allergies, but I went and bought a thermometer!

Yes I have the same issue in the mornings and am prone to dry, scratchy throats this time of year. Makes me anxious too.

Same here. I picked up a pulse oximeter a month or two back and have been checking my O2 throughout the day just to establish a good baseline for myself.

I was joking with my buddies (a couple weeks ago) that its time to quit drinking on weekends lest we start wondering "is it a mild hangover or the start of something more sinister".

My throat has been scratchy/a little sore all day. Trying hard not to freak out. Traveled last week so that creates more anxiety.

This is exactly how I feel, because I'd rather just get it over with instead of worrying about it all the time. EXCEPT, then I read the stories of the rare outliers who were really young and healthy but still ended up needing ventilators...or worse. So I go back to hoping I can avoid for a year or so until the vaccine arrives.

Are you guys sure you don't have strep throat? Lots of patients out there with "strep throat" that have a negative rapid strep, no exam findings and afebrile who swear their body is "different" and typical allergies is really a raging case of strep.

Better yet you sure your "normal" temp isnt around 94.6 so that when it's 98.6 that means it is really 102.6?

I woke up hoarse the other morning and my wife made me wear a mask. Told her it was just allergy drainage, but she would not budget. Later that day, the voice was back to normal. People are scared to death.

Woke up with no sore throat, thank goodness.

Pretty sure mine is due to allergies. Or I'm becoming a hypochondriac. Lol

Howdy Brother,

My wife is also pregnant (15 weeks) and works as a nurse in a Cardiac Unit. I'm fortunate to be able to work from home. She's paranoid as all get up when she has to head in and I am as well. Definitely interesting times for sure. Never thought it would be this "bad", this quickly...

Don't be afraid to holler if you need anything or want to talk. Just nice knowing there's other Ags in the same situation as us.

about 5 mornings a week...then I realize that I must have snored a lot.

Any doctors or anyone know of a reliable forehead temp scanner that is accurate? Every one I buy is crap. Medical grade probably too expensive.
