People aren't going anywhere. Baylor Scott and White might give you a test if you've been in direct contact with someone who has a confirmed case, have traveled to CA, NY or WA, and are at risk.

Other wise they'll tell you to just stay home.

Unless you are sick enough that a test will determine your medical treatment YOU DON'T NEED TO GET TESTED.

That didn't answer his question. Also, I thought you could get tested if you came into contact with someone that had it so you don't have to be "sick enough" as some are asymptomatic. Finding out sooner than later and affecting more sounds counterintuitive.

The only place doing testing in CSTAT is the hospital and they're doing selective drive thru testing.

Download the Baylor Scott&White app, there should be a big box asking if you want to fill out a Coronavirus questionnaire. Depending on your answers they will either contact you for a test or have you do an E-Visit for free on the app.

Basically you fill out your symptoms and they'll tell you what you have.

I did this a couple of days ago, they told me I had a sinus infection and gave me a prescription.

I never had to go to the doctor and it was completely free. I think it's a great addition and every hospital should start doing it.

Any of those asking if you came into contact with someone that did? If so, I wonder how much weight they put into that if there are no symptoms. S. Korea is being proactive by finding those who came into contact with or without symptoms.

If you have no symptoms then I doubt they would test you. I was coughing, had a fever etc. But I wasn't in contact with anyone, nor am I considered at risk.

People should be staying at home right now anyways, if you have no symptoms then testing you doesn't really change anything except wastes a test on someone that doesn't need it.
