Good read, but I noticed the Dr. mention that sore throats are not common. I thought it was reported earlier/elsewhere that they were commn?

I think politicians are making that sound more hopeful than scientists

I believe it's the cough that's a common symptom, not a sore throat without cough.

Another rare symptom that's popping up is the inability to smell and even more rare, taste

Except the article implies South Korea used a 15 minute test and that does not appear to be the case.

I've touted the serology tests in previous replies on this board, but mass scale serology tests take longer to get right. It's just the nature of those particularly beasts.

Edited bad grammar.

Anti body tests? Supposedly one of those is in the works

It would be good to know, especially with assumed immunity

If you can't smell, you can't taste.

90% of what you taste is smell believe it or not. That's why a lot of people with bad colds complain of losing taste

Yep, but the article made it sound like South Korea used antibody tests and not RT-PCR.

My wife must be more evolved then. As far back as she can remember, she has had no ability to smell. However, she can taste.

I married up.

Exactly. I remember last time I was sick in November I lost most of my sense of taste. Symptoms just seem more noticeable now because we're all hyper-aware.
