In-laws lived in Singapore for several years, I visited twice. It is one of the cleanest cities I have been to, Tokyo is pretty damn clean too. As a whole Asia takes cleaning to a different level than the US. Singapore has some great history as well and it was very interesting to see the Highways could be converted to runways in a military emergency. They do not have good memories of the Japanese occupation.
