So the IRS has pushed back filing deadline to July 15 - not necessary to file an extension.

What I'm not seeing is any confirmation as to whether the deadline to make a SEP contribution is also pushed back to July 15 or if I'll still need to make that contribution by 4/15/20.

Any tax pros have any inside info on this?

TIA

You can make SEP contributions all the way up to the extended deadline so shouldn't be an issue

File an extension. That will extend it.

Tax pro here. I have not seen anything definitive but I expect them to release the fine details on all that soon.

My gut says they will extend that as well as law says "tax filing deadline".

You can always make SEP contributions all the way until October 15

The deadline is always whatever day you actually file. Therefore if you file an extension you effectively have have until Oct 15 to file and contribute to your SEP.

Got an email from my accountant on that exact topic today. SEP's extended, 401k's not so far.
