This is very interesting. I wonder how it will shake out.

To achieve herd immunity, and thus stop the virus prior to a vacine, the entire world will need to get to 50% infection.

And it could have only infected 10%.

All of these models are just guesses at best.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I know 2 people in the UK and one of them has it and the other does not. So far their study is spot on...

This is how media sampling works.

I highly doubt this. If 50% of the UK is infected, they should have a massive spike in pneumonia cases, even if most people show no symptoms.

The British might just be day drunk, or they could be asphyxiated. Only time will tell.

If it turns out that stouts, porters, and brown ales mitigate coronavirus, I'm going to be fine.

There is no accurate "they should have had" . . . .we are all in the dark regarding the true number of cases which is the authors point. He claims potentially 1 out of 1,000 would need hospitalization.

Anyway, his main point is that without significant field research on who has already the bug we won't know anything. Not exactly groundbreaking research . . .just testing theoretical possibilities.

Half of any location will likely eventually have it.
