I saw a meme the other day that was a joke about some guy fending off the coffeevirus (or something) by using a coffee filter for a mask.

Question, there are a kajillion boxes of coffee filters out there. How easy would it be to 3d print some sort of device that fit your to your face but that you could snap into it a standard coffee filter?

I mean this is a good idea, but at what point does it just make sense to use a bandanna?

I would think a bandana would be practically useless in preventing the inhalation of virus size particles.

Additionally, I could also see where a bandana worn by an infected person could actually increase the amount of virus droplets they expel into the air - the bandana will become moist from your breath around your nose/mouth and then every respiration is being forced through this wet membrane sending virus droplets into the air....
