Talking now about being on routine phone calls with the President, Dr. Birx, and Dr. Fauci.

Issuing another executive order today - all parties traveling from New York or New Jersey tri-state area to Texas via an airport will be required to self quarantine for 14 days. Same for New Orleans.

In follow up Q&A Abbott stated the E.O. has language which allows for additional locations to be added if needed.

Mandatory 14 day quarantine if traveling from New York and New Orleans. This should have happened weeks ago for New York.

Governor Abbott has issued a new order that anyone flying in from NY/NJ will be required to self quarantine for 14 days.

This comes on the recommendation from Dr. Fauci and Dr. Brix.

This will also apply to people coming from New Orleans.

DPS will run this, and anyone flying in from those areas will have to fill out a form upon arrival, which will list where they will be and DPS will keep checking on them for the 14 days or if they leave Texas before that time.

I don't disagree, but you do realize that 2 weeks ago New Yorks numbers were on par with Texas? I found on the 19th that NY city had 300 cases, which is about on par with Dallas I believe. If you are saying New York residents should have been quarantined weeks ago, then that applies to just about all metro areas today.

Now how about a thermometer checkpoint on I-10 from Louisiana for all non-freight vehicles?

Air traffic is a drop in the bucket compared to the roadways.
