Melissa and I just finished our first ZOOM worship where we did a moment for mission. We are all learning to adapt.
Had my first virtual HH this last week. Hated it.Fitch said:
Been doing lots of virtual happy hours with family and friends this past week.
I know a couple that were having a destination wedding in a couple of months, recently postponed until same time next year. I'm like, WTF? Just do it. Go ahead with a local wedding or Zoom, and then invite all your friends to the big anniversary party next year.Fightin2010 said:
Just partook in a Zoom wedding. It was awesome to see the couple just wanted to get married rather than postponing everything.

What was the issue? Were people just talking over each other, blathering?
Yes. And, honestly, it's just not for me. I just don't like the "feel" of it.Aust Ag said:

My wife - you may know her by OEFL. We're missionaries in Zambia but evacuated back to the states last week.

I've found using the Zoom chat during a Zoom video helps cut through the noise. Also muting your microphone and using the space bar to talk helps. I'm a big fan of Zoom. Much better than WebEx. Hope your experience gets better.
